Major regulated river valleys – as at 16 September 2014

The table below shows current water allocations in major NSW regulated river valleys.

For more detailed information, including links to the orders and media releases, go to Water allocations.

Use the NSW Water Register to search for water allocations/available water determinations by water source or water access licence.

High security and general security allocations, normally expressed in megalitres per unit share, are expressed in this table as percentages. One megalitre per unit share equates to 100% allocation.

Carry over water

Water users in regulated river valleys may have access to water carried over from the previous year, despite small or zero allocations. The amount of carry over water available to individuals, however, may vary depending on usage and trading activity. Contact State Water for account balance details.
