Responding to a call for submissions
Please note that submissions, made in response to these publicly exhibited proposals, including any personal details contained in the submissions, may be made publicly available by the NSW Office of Water. The information contained in the submissions may also be published in a summary of responses.
If you do not want your submission or your personal details to be made public you can prevent this. Please indicate clearly, in writing, at the time of making the submission if you want your submission, any part of your submission, or your personal details to be treated as confidential.
The making of a submission without an express request for privacy or confidentiality is deemed to constitute consent to publish a submission and details of the person and/or organisation making the submission.
The Office may exercise its discretion not to make available certain submissions. For example, the Office may choose not to make available submissions that it considers contain material that is defamatory, offensive, or in breach of any law.
You should be aware that there may be circumstances in which the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water will be required by law to release copies of submissions received to third parties. A request for access to a confidential submission will be determined in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 1989.
All submissions will be treated in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998. Any personal information that you give us will not be used for another purpose.
